Inspired by their elders The Smiths and Joy Division, the men in black from Interpol are shaking New York City with their classy rock reminiscent of new wave bands. For their sixth album Marauder released on Matador Records last summer, Interpol elevated their repertoire by collaborating with producer Dave Fridmann, famous for recording with Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips, MGMT, Spoon or Mogwai. With frontliner Paul Banks’ voice and soul, Interpol is synonymous with burning electric fever and top class - on record and even more live.
